- Ways to Salvage Lost Data
Data recovery is the procedure of salvaging data from failed, wrecked, inaccessible or damaged primary storage media when it is unable to be accessed normally. Damage could result from logical damage to the file system or physical damage to the storage device that prevents it from being accessed. Most often the data being recovered is salvaged from storage formats, like DVDs, RAID, storage tapes, CDs, hard disk drives, and a number of other devices.
